After reading many positive reviews, I took my Porsche to Desi to get my car through inspection. I have been my own mechanic on this car and know the systems well. BUT emissions monitors are a next level of diagnostics and need more advance equipment. These guys were able to narrow down and fix the system (without throwing parts at it) which caused the emission monitor not to complete. I was then able to pass inspection. Parts and labor were no surprise. I buy a lot of parts from many different Porsche parts suppliers and Desi's parts cost were right inline with all of them. Shawn, the owner, takes his motto "The customer is the boss" very seriously and I experienced that first hand. I have always been concerned that if I could not fix something, where would I take my Porsche, certainly not the dealer. Now I have somewhere to go when the fix is beyond my skills.

I drive my Mini Cooper from West Philadelphia to this shop just for the peace of mind they offer. I loved my 2009 Clubman until it hit 70k miles. It needs multiple repairs including drive belt, water pump, front crank seal, transmission fluid leak, and thermostat. I reached out to Desi Auto Care. Shawn explained the life of this parts is short because the engine runs hot and is in small space. I compare his quotes with dealer and Desi saved me 65% Even though it was a snowy days, my car was done on time. When I was there to pickup my car, Inside the garage I noticed there was 2 more Mini Cooper getting repairs done.

I always walked my dog by Desi auto care and had never taken my BMW there. 1st week of Nov I took my BMW-dealer and was told I had an oil leak that was going set me back $2300+ to fix. The hard press was on to get this supposed oil leak fixed. I confused- I decided to get a 2nd opinion. I tried Desi as they advertised specializing in German cars repairs and close by to my home. The best move I made. Low and behold there was no oil leak as I suspected. I then decided to have some routine maintenance done there. Shawn explained what and why they were doing things, gave me a quote upfront, most knowledgeable tech to deal with. They performed the service expeditiously and as promised.

Only thing I needed is a lamp replacement on my 2011 Volkswagen Jetta and Cherry Hill dealer wanted over $215 to replace the bulb. Andrew said bring it in and he replaced it on the spot for a minimum cost. It's hard to find a trustworthy mechanic. I struck gold with Desi Auto Care.

I have noticed that when my brother is backing out of our driveway in my 2006 Volvo S60 there is a hissing noise (it sounds like air) coming from the engine area, the noise only appears though when it is in reverse. Once he hits the accelerator to go down the street the engine seems to make its usual accelerating noise and the hissing seems to disappear. Also the car has a check engine light. Ryan said hissing noise could be several possibilities: air intake leak, engine vacuum leak, and vacuum hose leak. Later on the diagnose the check engine light, Rachael called me with fair estimate. My Volvo was ready next day. Drives perfect now. I do recommend this shop to all Volvo owners.

My car wouldn't start on a rainy morning in Philadelphia, street parked in a street cleaning no parking zone. I called Desi at 8:20 AM and Shawn said they would get on it as soon as AAA tows it in. He diagnosed an electric relay fix and spent a bunch more time analyzing the fuel system replacing the fuel filter and bleeding the air out of the lines. They wouldn't release the car until they were assured it was OK. They were more than fair on the bill considering the time analyzing the tricky issues. We're a two car Volkswagen family and keep our cars for a long time. They help us maintain our cars perfectly! Rachael, the office manager and Shawn, one of their star mechanics always take good care of our cars. They give 2 years parts & labor warranty. What a nice touch!

I'm not necessarily a "car person", I feel secure knowing that Desi mechanics will keep my vehicle safe. My truck water pump leaks and overheating. He show me that the engine fan was wasn't running. Also made sure the system is totally bled out and there is no air and replace the water pump which was cracked. They respect my truck and stand behind their work. I've recommended them over the years to many friends and they come back singing the same praises. (2005 Land Rover LR3).

Mercedes Benz 2008 S-550 4-Matic I got an appointment with dealer for slipping gears when the engine was cold in the mornings. so I get down there 10 min. ahead and service dept. girl says "how we supposed to diagnose this, you need to dropped the car off", I then reminded her that he told me to bring the car and wait here.She seems annoyed. Same afternoon I got call from service writer. He reports me that proceed to turn the engine on and off about so many times, barely shifts into reverse and then after some diagnostics he decides I need a whole new transmission. It could cost in excess of $7000. (Off course I refused) My co-worker also owns Mercedes and Desi Auto Care is the shop he goes for any repairs. He call the shop and explained all. Rachael set up appointment. After diagnostics Ryan found out, only thing I needed is a belt tightened which cost me $90 total for the inspection and tightening. It's not a fancy place like a dealer but they're truly honest where they actually fix things and do not assume you are made of cash.

When I was trying to fix my head light on my 2000 Audi TT and as I unplugged the light i have the car running and it caused a short. I admit i screwed up. Now my digital dashboard reset odometer back to zero. Also my windows and trunk stopped working. My family and I were planning on taking a vacation to West Virginia but without a working trunk and windows we can't. One of my friends suggest me to Desi Auto Care the Audi specialist. Master technician Shaun explained to me - the central locking control module sends data to the instrument cluster which has the interior light functions, is the controller for the power window/lock/gas tank and does pretty much... everything including anti-theft functions. He suggested and replaced the whole central lock control module. Now everything works fine. I'm ready for my trip to West Virginia

Can't say enough good things about the service and my experience with DESI. There's very good reason that they're so highly rated by their customers. DESI has earned my respect and trust as my primary care care provider. Yoy can expect that they will go above-and-beyond for you as they did for me. Their prices are super fair; you'll leave feeling like you saved money by choosing them. Mechanics are top notch (Sean is great!) and very knowledgeable about vehicles. DESI is the ONLY place I'll be taking my vehicles; recommend you do the same.
